Pre-K Program

In pre-K, children learn by doing. They work at tables, on the floor, and outdoors, with materials that ask them to sort, build, pour, and draw. Teachers talk with them, read with them, and help them name what they notice. The day has routine, so a child knows what comes next and can settle into it.

Lower School

In the Lower School, children build the habits that carry them through later grades. They read, write, and work with numbers, and they keep making things with their hands. Summer work goes home at the end of each school year, and new families can pick it up through Kate Terry at kterry@broadwateracademy. org.

Three children stand in a classroom holding stuffed fabric pillows decorated with painted faces and paper shapes.
03

Middle School

Middle School covers Grades 5 through 8 and is listed as one of the academy's academic divisions. Summer work is distributed at the end of each school year and can be picked up for new families through Kate Terry. For details, families can ask the school directly.

A group of ten people, including one kneeling in front, pose together on a brick plaza with street signs and buildings behind them.
04

Upper School

Upper School is where the work gets serious. Students choose from eleven AP courses, taught by six qualified instructors, and take exams that can count toward college credit. They also keep up with summer work sent home at the end of each year, and can pick it up through Kate Terry at kterry@broadwateracademy. org.

Boarding Programs

Boarding students live in a large residential house off campus with an experienced host parent. Broadwater has accepted students from all over the world for more than a decade, including Greece, France, Germany, Holland, Russia, China, and South Korea. Boarders live with their classmates and share meals, study time, and free time together.
