What to look for
In photos of a room like this, look past the children to the shelves. What sits on them tells you plenty. A few materials, arranged in order, chosen on purpose. Look for small groups at work, a table set with one clear task, an adult sitting low to the floor beside a child. Those details show you how the day is built, and what a child is trusted to choose.
